“ You can tell when you walk in that this is a well-established fixture in Palo Alto. The breakfast menu is limited, but the food is made fresh and the ingredients were whole and healthy. And the coffee is very good, which makes sense since they advertise coffee from around the world and have a big roaster sitting off to the side. The veggie omelet had a good number of veggies and was accompanied by a bagel and a cup of fruit. Although I was hungry I couldn't finish it all. They are generous with the coffee, and I also needed a to go cup for that. The seasoning on the omelet was pretty tame, but they provide salt and pepper, along with Tapatio got sauce to spice it up for those who like a little more flavor. The counter service was courteous, and attentive, and our orders were correct. ”
“ Amazing food and coffee, great hospitality, friendly and nostalgic environment! Highly recommended! ”
“ Honestly, one of my favorite finds in Palo Alto. A friend of mine recommended it and I am so happy he did! I ordered a scramble and they were very open to make changes to it. They also have a variety of teas you can order + buy to take him (tea bags). This is how I found my favorite tea so far! The staff were so warm and kind. I love coming here for nomz and my caffeine fix. A great atmosphere. ”
“ I love supporting this family-owned coffee shop, though it offers so much more than just coffee. After dropping off a little friend at The Gym next door for their "ninja class," I always pop over for a coffee and a treat while I watch them. My go-to is an iced mocha, which has delicious little chocolate shavings at the bottom, and I usually pair it with a cookie, depending on my mood. The wife is often the one working, and despite how busy she can get, she always takes a moment to acknowledge me, which makes the experience feel warm and personal. I never mind waiting because she's consistently friendly and attentive. Even though it's located in a busy shopping area, there's always parking available, which is a nice bonus. The atmosphere is charming--such a cute, peaceful spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the surrounding shops. ”
“ I had lunch there today. Had the Lox Bagle. The bagel was warm and included cream cheese, tomato, capers, onion and lox. I thought the different ingredients mixed together well and thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich. It also came with a side order and very fresh and delicious fruit. I wouild highly recommend this sandwich. ”
“ Stumbled upon this cute coffee shop/cafe and had to go in to check it out. It is very large and spacious with an old schooled vintage theme. Lots of locals here chilling and working/studying on their laptops. I am loving the chill vibe here. The staff were super friendly and gave me some recommendations on what coffee to order. Since today was a warm day, I went for a Blended Ice Mocha ($6.00). Great choice! The drink tasted mocha chocolate perfect! I will come back next time to try their pastries and sandwiches. ”
“ Was in need of some caffeine before work on a Sunday and was surprised to find Palo Alto Cafe on my drive. Didn't try any of the amazing food they had but the Cafe Mocha was incredible. I tend to stay away from anything mocha but this wasn't too sweet and there were only subtle hints of chocolate flavor. I'm sure next time I come and have some food I'll update this to 5 stars but for now it's a high 4. ”
“ Best chicken sandwich I've had in probably 4 years! The other reviewers are right to highlight it. I'm lucky that I happened to search for a sandwich while I was in midtown Palo Alto at lunch. I hope they never change this sandwich. It has juicy grilled chicken, nice lettuce & tomatoes, pickle fragments, onion, and some sliced grilled mushrooms! French roll is fresh and easy to bite. Not hard like rolls can be on similar sandwiches. Outstanding. I might try even try their coffee next time haha ”
“ Absolutely loved this place -- got here around 12 pm on a Sunday noonish and the place was bustling full of people. So you've got the prized table outside the cafe with 4 or 5 people in group -- each person with a louder voice than the other/cute. There assortment of sandwiches and drinks is extensive. They have your traditional roast beef sandwich, ham and swiss, and turkey sandwiches -- and many more. For drinks, they have the caffe latte, and other varieties. What I ended up ordering ( based on a rec ), was the roast beef sandwich -- hot. "Hot" meant that the sandwich was toasted and came with sauteed mushrooms - yum The order took about 10 to 15 minutes to make and the chef making the food was very attentive. He asked me several times what my order was and to wait patiently. The lady at the counter was efficient, though I had to remind her to give me my receipt. Overall, my experience was great. Would love to be back -- perhaps to check out their other delicious-looking sandwiches. Oh yeah, and they have complementary water on the far left side of the cafe. ”
